Make A Scrapbook

You may think starting an album from scratch means you have purchased the album and you are ready to begin and this is where you need help.

Hopefully you have a few tools to start with.  Ideally you will have some cardstock and scrapbook paper (whether it is 12×12” or another size), some way to attach your photos to the card and paper, preferably photo splits and/or double sided tape, good sharp scissors, a paper trimmer and if possible, some mounting tape (this is thicker than double sided tape and raises your photos etc to give them dimension). There are a number of other tools that can help you immensely and you will find some of these listed under the Scrapbook Tools tab.

Other vital things you need are your precious photos, and memorabilia that relates to the photos.

OK now you are ready to go. If you have a blank album ready to begin making your pages, then click on With An Album. If you have the items above and no album, then click on Totally From Scratch.

You will find everything you need to start AND finish your scrapbook pages on this site.  Just work your way through the stages step by step and you won’t find the process daunting. Remember you don’t have to be arty; these are YOUR pages for YOUR family to look back on. The satisfaction you get from a completed project, not to mention the compliments from those privileged enough to see the finished product, will be well worth it.

Don’t be surprised if once you start to scrapbook you can’t seem to stop!  It’s not time to call a therapist, it is quite normal. Suddening you find it’s time to get dinner ready and you have to drag yourself away from your pages that are coming together nicely.  Welcome to one of it pitfalls to scrapbooking!

With the information on this website and my Scrapbook Ideas Guide, you won’t waste precious time thinking of ideas. If you have my book and print off the information on this site to add to the Guide, there is nothing else you need.  Stop procrastinating and get started.
